Work in this unit starts from half past eight in the morning until two in the afternoon. It is considered one of the service units in the library, which has a direct relationship with readers and researchers. Professor Ihsan Obeid, Director of the Readers Services Division, stated that the unit includes a cadre of ten employees, each according to his specialization and preparation. The books in this unit are (86057) thousand books for scientific and humanitarian specializations, and the classification of books and their search for them is through the Dewey Decimal International Classification numbers. And the specialization of the title and author, who are originally distributed according to the numbers of the subject category or title.
The concerned employee searches for the topic on the shelves prepared in advance for books inside the lending unit. Within minutes, the student is prepared with the required addresses.
The loan period for a primary studies student is three days, and a postgraduate student is seven days, noting that the sources are loaned by the library to a postgraduate and primary student by issuing a special card in the central library in which the name of the beneficiary, the place of study, his identity number and the date of issuance, are mentioned and recorded. The source is determined to return the date with mentioning the book’s title and serial number in the library and keep this card inside the library so that we can know the student’s return to the book from its reverse.
