A discussion symposium was held in the Global Corner Unit / Central Library entitled "Environmental Changes and Their Impact on the Electric Power System in Iraq" delivered by Dr. Rashid Abdul Rashid from the College of Arts, where he shed light on the environmental changes represented by the drying of the marshes, the high temperatures and the lack of water in the dams as a result of the lack of rain and the reasons that It led to a decrease in the water level in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and the non-compliance of the neighboring countries with the water quotas allocated to each of them. The symposium was attended by Dr. Mohsen Abdul Hai Dasher, Secretary General of the Central Library, a number of Central Library employees and some students, on 29/5/2022.
