During the President of the University of Basra's visit to the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Saad Shaheen provided direction in supporting the central library of branch libraries and developing a digital library in the college library. Mr .Walid Bashir Abdol Wahed, Director of the Automated Systems Unit in the Central Library, and professors from the College of Pharmacy formed a scientific team led by Dr. Mohsin Abdol Hai Dasher, Director  of the Central Library, to create a specialized digital library for the above college and provide it with electronic information sources to provide better services to researchers and students .
