An educational seminar entitled (Ethics of the Library and Information Profession for Workers in the Central Library and its Impact on the users )

The Unit of Continuing Education in the Central Library, in cooperation with the International  Corner Unit, held a scientific and educational symposium for the Central Library staff under the title (Ethics of the Library and Information Profession for Workers in the Central Library and its Impact on the users ) on Tuesday, 16/8/2022, under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Mohsen Abdul Hai  and under the supervision of Mr. Samir Muhammad Jassim, Director of the Continuing Education Unit in the Central Library, and in the presence of a number of Central Library employees, and the lecture of the symposium was delivered by Mrs. Suad Naim Abdel Sayed, a researcher and specialist in the field of libraries and information. The commitment of the central library workers to professional ethics through the opinion of the actual users  and the development of awareness of the legal and ethical dimensions of the activities of workers in the field of libraries and information, as well as demonstrating the positive moral qualities of library workers and their behavior towards the users  and obligating confidentiality and privacy with all information related to the users  and their personal data or their inquiries and respect for their privacy . After completing the topic of the lecture, the participants were given plenty of time for the interventions and discussion to express their opinions and inquiries.
