The annual book fair was opened in the Central Library / Bab Al-Zubair Colleges Copound on Sunday 11/20/2022, under the supervision of the University of Basra's Presidency. 

Mr. Ali Muhair Karim, Secretary General of the Central Library, Mrs. Suad Naim, Director of the Library Department, and Mr. Bahaa Hamza Abbas, the book fair's supervisor, as well as representatives from publishing and printing houses. 

The exhibition featured a variety of scientific, literary, cultural, social, economic, and legal books, volumes, and publication titles. The exhibition was attended by a delegation. 

Mr. Muhammad Thaer Al-Zaidi and Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Abbas from the Basra Heritage Center, which is affiliated with the al-Abbas' Holy Shrine.
The Basra Heritage Center's pavilion aims to provide volumes, publications, advertisements, and to work with all publishing houses from colleges, centers and others. Students, professors, and intellectuals were present at the exhibition today.
