On Thursday 12/22/2022, a delegation from Al-Iraqiya channel visited the Central Library, accompanied by Mr. Tahseen Jabbar Saeed, director of Documentary Production in the Iraqi Media Network, and Dr. Hamid Ahmed Hamdan, professor of history and expert on the history and heritage of Basra. Ms. Souad Naim Abdel-Sayed, Director of the Management , and Mr. Samir Muhammad, in charge of the Continuing Education Unit , received them. During a conversation with the media delegation, Dr. Hamid discussed the geographical, intellectual, literary, and heritage significance of Basra throughout its long history and rich heritage.
