In pursuit of the presidency of the University of Basra to support the energies of young students and graduates, the Al-Manara camp was opened in the hall of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in the College of Law on Wednesday, 2/8/2023, in the presence of the assistants of the President of the University of Basra for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. University of Administrative Affairs, a number of deans of faculties and directors of centers, and a group of students participating in the camp, as the ceremony was covered by a group of official media channels and representatives of media units at the university.

The ceremony began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs and the national anthem, after which Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Rishk, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, gave a speech on behalf of the President of the University, followed by Mr. Mahmoud Miqdad Al-Basri, founder of Al-Manara Camp, with a speech in which he explained that the training includes seven stages for both It starts with the training and development stage, and it will be on 7/8/2023 and ends on 9/15/2023, followed by multiple stages, leading to the seventh stage, which is the stage of professionalism.
The University of Basra has taken it upon itself to prepare training cadres in the use of computers and technology and laboratories for training participants in the camp and in various academic, artistic and craft fields, according to the requirements of the market need.
