With the desire of the Central Library Secretariat to develop approved electronic systems and programs, and in implementation of ministerial directives, the Library Secretariat held a workshop for employees to introduce the Koha system for electronic documentation in the Manuscripts and Anecdotes Unit in preparation for its implementation in the library’s systems and programs in an effort to keep pace with the technological development taking place in information science and libraries.
In the workshop, the contents of the central library, including books, dissertations, and reference sources, in addition to manuscripts and anecdotes, were entered into the Koha system, where some of the employees were trained on it.
