The Central Library Secretariat at the University of Basra received a delegation from the Basra Heritage Center returning to the Holy Abbasid Shrine on Sunday, 10/1/2033, within the framework of joint scientific and cultural cooperation.
The delegation discussed with the Central Library Secretary, teacher Dr. Dhikra Muhammad Kazem, ways to enhance this cooperation in various scientific fields. The delegation visited the Manuscripts and Anecdotes Unit in the library and was briefed on the scientific sources available in the unit , He expressed his willingness to provide assistance in how to maintain and restore manuscripts by the House of Manuscripts belonging to the Holy Abbasid Shrine. The two sides agreed on a mechanism for sending students and researchers specialized in this field to the House of Manuscripts at the Abbasid Holy Shrine and training them on how to produce manuscripts. It was also agreed to supply the library with modern publications, exchange experiences between the center and the Central Library Secretariat, and hold joint book exhibitions and cultural festivals to motivate students and encourage them to read.
