
The General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Basra received a delegation of students and teachers of Makarem Al-Akhlaq National Primary School as part of a school scientific trip.
The Secretary-General, Dr. Dhikra Muhammad Kazem, said, “The visit included an overview of the library’s facilities and sections, the circumstances of the library’s founding, the history of its inception, and the precious and valuable books it contains, which represent an important knowledge legacy in Iraqi civilization, and how this ancient library contributed to educating the individual and Iraqi society, and the great services the library provides.” For graduate students and researchers of science and knowledge from various Iraqi universities, the visit also included access to books, sources, periodicals, scientific references and their classifications, whether paper or electronic.
At the end of the visit, an awareness film was shown about the impact of using the Internet on children for long periods
