The Central Library receives a delegation from Al-Fatwa Primary School for Boys

The General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Basra received a delegation of students and teachers of Al-Fatwa School for Boys in the Al-Jumhuriya region as part of a school scientific trip.

They were received by Mr. Ihsan Obaid, head of the Beneficiary Services Division. “The visit included an overview of the library’s facilities and sections, the circumstances of the library’s founding, the history of its inception, and the precious and valuable books it contains, which represent an important cognitive legacy in Iraqi civilization. How this ancient library contributed to educating the individual and Iraqi society, and what the library offers.” It is a great service for graduate students and science and knowledge researchers from various Iraqi universities, including books, sources, periodicals, and scientific references, whether paper or electronic. At the conclusion of the visit, an awareness film was shown on how to protect children from the effects of using the Internet, and another awareness film on honoring parents and the necessity of obeying them.
