The University of Basra organizes a symposium on reducing the phenomenon of drugs in society

 The General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Basra organized a symposium on reducing the phenomenon of drugs in society.

The symposium aimed to educate all segments of society, especially students, about the scourge of drugs, how to prevent it, treat it using scientific methods, and spread the legal culture to limit the spread of this phenomenon.

The symposium, in which Colonel Fouad Mohser Jassim from the Second Police College and Instructor Naglaa Saeed lectured, reviewed the legal penalties for promoting, using and trafficking, the types of drugs, the most famous of which are widespread in the country, the symptoms of addiction, stimulants, the use of tranquilizers and painkillers, and the economic effects.
