The General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with the Information Center of the Abbasid Holy Shrine, organized a competition to select the best three branch libraries in the colleges and centers of the University of Basra. This comes within criteria approved by specialized committees in the Central Library. After the committees visited the branch libraries directly and reviewed their reality, the College of Law Library obtained It ranked first, the library of the College of Fine Arts ranked second, while the library of the College of Engineering ranked third in a unique experience,As part of the Central Library Secretariat’s efforts to create a state of scientific competition between the branch libraries at the university, and urging those in charge of them to make efforts to develop the reality of libraries and provide better services to researchers, valuable prizes will be distributed to the winning libraries presented by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas Shrine during an honoring ceremony that will be held at the al-Abbas Shrine.
