On the occasion of the celebrations of the University of Basra on the sixtieth anniversary of its founding, a scientific forum was held in the General Secretariat of the Central Library, organized by an elite group of female teachers in the College of Arts. It included the stages of the development of the university, starting from its founding through the opening of colleges and departments to meet the needs of the labor market. The forum also included an explanation of what the university was exposed to due to wars and what I made sacrifices for him. The forum also presented an overview of the Central Library, the beginnings of its establishment, the stages it went through, and the sources and cultural vessels it contained that contributed greatly to the graduation of scholars, writers, and specialists in various fields. The ceremony concluded with a cultural competition for library members, which included various questions and prizes for the participants.
