The Central Library Secretariat at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Iranian Center for Education and Studies, organized a seminar on introducing Iranian universities, the mechanism for applying for postgraduate studies, and how to obtain fellowships and scholarships. The seminar, which was lectured by the lecturer, Maitham Muhammad Saadoun, Director of the Center, included an introduction to the reputable Iranian universities, their international classifications, their scientific journals, methods of publishing research and articles, the controls for granting scholarships and special fellowships granted to the University of Basra according to the concluded agreements, and the admission mechanism for those universities.
