The Central Library Secretariat, in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, organized a training course on first aid. The course aimed to create and prepare a staff capable of caring for and saving the injured in the department or community. The course, which was delivered by the trainer of health staff at Basra General Hospital, Mr. Muhannad Kazem Jawad, included an introduction to first aid. And risk management - Drs    ABCD, examining the response of the injured person, requesting medical assistance, examining the airway, breathing, heart, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in addition to how to deal with cases of fainting, drinking toxic substances, high blood pressure, diabetes, and burns, as well as listening to the audience’s questions and answering them.
