University of Basrah students get the first rank in testing of reading from high Education, they get prizes , where three students distinguished from its different colleges, its second version, which by the minister of higher education and scientific research dr Naaem Al aboody, the competition is considered one of the most important cultural competitions which contribute in enhancing reading and thinking skills for students. Winners students from University of Basrah were creative in reading and analysing in tow books by the testing organising committee, entitled (Islamic views in the declaration of human rights) by the martyr mr Mohammed Al Sader , and the other one ( the civilisational issue, how to create our future in the changing world) for Saudi writer Zaki Al Milad , so the winners students proved big capacity in understanding and analysing ideas in  both of books. The most prominent results of University of Basrah students came in this competition, the medical student Noor Alhuda Husam Jihad Omran sixth place with a score of 87 within 22 minutes and 45 seconds. 
As the student achieved the eighth place from the college of Medicine Abdullah Majed Isqar Mohammad Taqi in score of 87 within 27 minutes and 71.67 second. 
While the student in Alzahra college of Medicine Maysam Mozan 32nd place in score of 82 within 17 minutes and 85.67 second . 
Head of University said dr Muhanad Jawad Kadhim that the students of University of Basrah within get these ranks from (1327) students from various scientific and human fields, improved that University of Basrah communicate with excellence and leadership in this important competition. 
Confirmed that excellence reflects the students insist on success, they are the proud of the university, in various scientific and cultural fields. 
He adds that this excellence not individual achievements , but its contribution efforts among the students and high management at the university, which seeks to instill the values of science and knowledge in its students and more success in all fields . 
In continue of the competition program the winners will get 100 million dinar , the first ten winners will get 4 million dinar for each winner, while the second ten winner 3 million dinar for each winner one, as the third ten winners will get 2 million dinar for each winner and forth ten winners will get one million for each one.
