
The General Secretariat of the Central Library received a delegation from Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed School with international standards as part of a school scientific trip that included a group of students and school staff. Regarding the visit, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Iman Shamkhi Jaber, said, "The visit aimed to inform the students about the library's facilities and departments, the circumstances of its establishment, the history of its emergence, and the valuable and precious books it contains, which represent an important cognitive legacy in Iraqi civilization, and how this ancient library contributed to the sustainability of knowledge and the education of the individual and Iraqi society, and the indispensable services it provides to undergraduate and graduate students and researchers of science and knowledge from various Iraqi universities, in addition to the books, sources, periodicals and scientific references it contains, whether paper or electronic. Shamkhi added, "The children enjoyed the presentations of educational films aimed at sustainable development in the fields of environmental conservation, encouraging industries and innovations, and using clean, environmentally friendly energy to mitigate climate change."
