
The General Secretariat of the Central Library received a delegation of students from Al-Fajr Al-Jadeed International School in the governorate center as part of a school scientific trip that included a group of students and school staff. Regarding the visit, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Iman Shamkhi Jaber, said, "The visit aimed to inform the students about the library's facilities and departments, the circumstances of its establishment, the history of its emergence, and the valuable and precious books it contains, which represent an important cognitive legacy in Iraqi civilization, and how this ancient library contributed to the sustainability of knowledge and the education of the individual and Iraqi society, and the indispensable services it provides to undergraduate and graduate students and researchers of science and knowledge from various Iraqi universities, in addition to books, sources, periodicals and scientific references, whether paper or electronic." The delegation toured the library's corridors accompanied by the head of the Beneficiary Services Division, Mr. Ihsan Obaid, and scientific video clips were shown to develop the students' skills.
