For sustainable development in ending child trafficking and eliminating physical violence against girls.. University of Basra organizes a symposium on how to reduce human trafficking.

The General Secretariat of the Central Library, in cooperation with the College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, organized an educational seminar to explain the steps of the UN program to combat the phenomenon of child trafficking and violence against girls and women, and the role of security institutions and the law in Iraq to reduce these inhumane phenomena. The seminar addressed an explanation of the fraudulent methods used by human traffickers to lure and exploit children and girls to force them into forced labor, prostitution, or even selling their organs for money, with the seminar reviewing international statistics and data from reputable research centers that document the extent of the spread of these crimes in developing countries.
