The Central Library Secretariat celebrates the anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra.

The Central Library Secretariat, in cooperation with the "Possibly Impossible" volunteer team, and the follow-up of the Library's Secretary-General, Dr. Iman Shamkhi, and the Global Corner Officer, Dr. Maha Jawad, organized its first cultural festival on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra. The festival was attended by Dr. Shukri Shaker Faleh, Director of the Registration and Student Affairs Department, the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi, a delegation from the National Council for Youth and Sports, and a large number of professors, students, and Central Library staff. The festival began with verses from the Holy Quran and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The national anthem was played, in addition to many artistic and cultural segments and poetry. The festival was attended by the "Possibly Impossible" volunteer team, the Elite Talents Team, students of the College of Administration and Economics, Al-Hartha International School, and children of Al-Manar Private Kindergarten. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the festival participants.
