The General Secretariat of the Central Library organized an exhibition festival to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the founding of the University of Basra. The festival included the opening of an exhibition of drawings and paintings with the participation of a number of talented female students and library staff, a special book fair to provide readers with the opportunity to purchase books for free, and a table exhibition with profits allocated to support orphans in Basra, in addition to holding cultural competitions with the participation of many students.
