The Central Library Secretariat organized a scientific symposium entitled "The Importance of Electronic Archiving in Government Institutions and Its Role in University Libraries." The symposium, presented by Assistant Lecturer Khadija Washah Hamoud and Assistant Lecturer Samir Mohammed Jassim, covered the importance of electronic archiving in developing administrative work and organizing information, especially in university libraries, due to the time, effort, and storage space it saves, in addition to its role in preserving documents, books, and resources in secure digital formats that ensure their safety from damage. The symposium aimed to advance and raise digital awareness among library staff. The symposium witnessed fruitful interaction from the attendees, emphasizing the importance of shifting towards electronic systems in managing and preserving information to keep pace with the digital age.
