The General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University of Basra organized a celebration on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir with the participation of the Wali al-Asr (may God hasten his reappearance) band, attended by the librarian and a large number of employees. The celebration included poetry, hymns, cultural competitions, and supplications to God to protect Iraq and its people with all its sects and components, and to renew the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the successor of the Prophet of Mercy, Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). At the end of the celebration, the library honored its employees who were referred to retirement for this year.
