The Central Library Secretariat organized seminar entitled “combating extremism through “ with a cooperation of University of Al Kunooz and Faculty of Education for Girls, it aimed to combating extremism through, it presented by Dr. Abdulaali Hameed Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Economics and Dr Hanaa Abdul nabi in the Faculty of Education for Girls to highlight on prevention ways and combating extremism thought, the role of the law in limiting its spread. It includes the concepts of extremism and terrorism , in addition to the relation between violence and terrorism , stages of transformation extremist thought into terrorist behaviour, prevention strategies the role of educational and cultural institutions in spreading moderate thought, in addition to local and international legal framework to combatting terrorist and extremism. In the end of the seminar the audience expressed their appreciation and evaluation to the importance of the topic and deep presentation
