The Central Library at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Bab Al-Zubair Health Center, organized a workshop entitled "The Role of First Aid in Treating Burns, Fractures, and Bleeding." The workshop aimed to raise health awareness among employees and workers in government departments and improve their preparedness in dealing with emergencies in the workplace. The workshop, presented by Dr. Hiba Hadeer Fares, a family medicine specialist in the first sector of the Basra Health Department, included information on the most important basics and principles of first aid, its definition and importance for the injured person, steps to save a life, types of injuries, degrees of burns, fractures, and bleeding, and methods of providing first aid for each case to ensure the injured person reaches health facilities.
