The University of Basra organizes a course on the history of the establishment of new libraries

The Central Library Secretariat at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized a workshop titled "The History and Origin of Roman Libraries."
​The workshop aimed to explore libraries in Rome and their role in transmitting cultural and civilized heritage to the world. Presented by several faculty members from the Department of History at the College of Education for Women, the sessions covered:
​The definition of the world's first library.
​The architectural decoration and design of Roman libraries.

​The modern roles and functions of Roman libraries.
