The University of Basra organized a lecture on women in Islamic history.

The Central Library at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education and the Women's Affairs Division, organized a lecture entitled "Women in Islamic History: A Study of Their Status and Civilizational Role." The lecture aimed to explore the leading role of women throughout history, both before and during the Islamic era, and their religious, cultural, and ethical contributions. The lecture, delivered by instructors Sara Mansour Nasser and Bashair Mahmoud Matroud, covered the roles of women in engineering, medicine, poetry, and literature, and their important role in building a more religiously and morally aware society.
