The University of Basra organizes a workshop on the role of artificial intelligence in libraries.

The Central Library at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education and the College of Arts, organized a workshop entitled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Libraries." The workshop aimed to facilitate users' access to tools for quickly finding and retrieving data related to books and articles, as well as finding information in databases and library catalogs. It also addressed the ethical implications of artificial intelligence applications and clarified the areas of AI within the specialized field of library and information science. The workshop, presented by lecturer Tariq Taha Aboud from the College of Arts, included a presentation on the nature of artificial intelligence, its impact on libraries, its applications, and prominent AI tools, applications, models, and images.
