The Central Library at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, organized a workshop entitled "Electronic Cataloging Using the Koha System." The workshop aimed to develop the skills of staff working in the university's branch libraries and enhance their efficiency in using modern electronic systems for managing library operations and organizing information resources. The workshop, presented by several Central Library staff members, covered the system's operation, data entry, electronic cataloging, circulation management, and searching the electronic catalog. It also explained the system's key services for streamlining work procedures within university libraries and improving the quality of services provided to users. The workshop saw active participation from attendees through practical applications and inquiries related to using the system and its application in the daily work of the branch libraries. At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants.
