The Secretary-General of the Central Library, Professor Samir Muhammad Jassim, participated in the raising of the Husseini flag, which took place in the Central Library's courtyard, marking the beginning of the holy month of Muharram. The ceremony was held in an atmosphere of sorrow and devotion, amidst an official and academic presence, including Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basra, his scientific and administrative assistants, a number of deans and center directors, a group of scientific and administrative staff, and the advisor to the Secretary-General of the Holy Husseini Shrine, Haj Fadhil Awz, and his accompanying delegation.
