The Secretary General of the Central Library at the University of Basra, Professor Samir Mohammed Jassim, received Professor Ali Abdul-Razzaq, Director of the University President's Office, who was sent by the University President to review the services provided to students and researchers and to follow up on the maintenance and renovation work being carried out by the Library's Administrative Affairs Department. The visit included a tour of the library's departments to observe the workflow and identify needs, with the aim of improving the work environment and enhancing services for users. At the conclusion of the visit, emphasis was placed on following up on the implementation of recommendations and proposals that would develop the library and improve its services to reflect its status as one of the leading academic institutions at the university.
