This unit includes university theses and theses in Arabic and foreign languages ​​granted to students from inside and outside the country, and is arranged on the shelves according to the Dewey decimal system. On the other hand, Professor Ali Abd Ali Aufi, head of the Dissertations Unit, said that this unit includes (14963) thousand Arab and foreign theses and messages in all human and scientific disciplines.

As the unit’s staff consists of three employees, each according to his specialization, working to provide services to the beneficiaries of postgraduate students and students of the initial stages, and lending them the thesis or thesis for a period of three days only, and according to the work context of the unit, and it includes the registration of the student’s name and the name of a college in the loan record according to the number of Identity of the central library with a date for retrieval of the thesis or thesis.

Among the work of this cadre is the registration of new dissertations that reach the unit in records and added to the previous ones, and making index cards for the new thesis and downloading them into tractors according to the classification number of the thesis or thesis, in addition to making cubes of the new and old theses to facilitate the search for them by the competent employee, and help the beneficiaries to access To the information they need in their university studies with arranging the new and old theses on the shelves when they are received from the students. Note that this unit works from half past eight in the morning until two in the afternoon and on weekdays.

We should not fail to mention the number of weekly and monthly statistics that include the number of unit attendees, the number of loaned dissertations, and the quality of borrowers, whether they are teachers, postgraduate students or primary studies students.
