The University of Basra raises the Husseiniya flag, marking the beginning of the month of sorrows

The University of Basra revived this morning the ceremony of hoisting the blessed Husayni mourning flag coming from the holy city of Karbala, marking the beginning of the ceremonies of the holy month of Muharram, the month of the martyrdom of the father of the free, Imam Hussein bin Ali, his family and his supporters (peace be upon them), in the compound of Bab Al-Zubair Colleges, amidst a spiritual atmosphere dominated by faith and reverence, in the presence of a delegation from the Husayni shrine, carrying the flag from the land of the free father in Karbala, headed by the advisor of its Secretary-General. Hajj Fadel Oz and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Unity Foundation, Sheikh Jamal Al-Dosari, and the Public Relations Department of the Basra Police Command, as well as official academic and religious personalities who expressed the depth of belonging to the family of the Prophet, peace be upon them.

The representative of the university president and his administrative assistant, Dr. Ali Hamidhi Al-Maliki, stated, "The university continues to commemorate this painful memory for the hearts of believers year after year in the month of lessons and lessons to draw lessons from the revolution of Imam Hussein (PBUH).
