
The Central Library Secretariat organized a symposium on the impact of tolerance in promoting human rights. The symposium, delivered by Dr. Najat Abdul Karim from the College of Arts, aimed to educate and raise awareness, explore the concepts of tolerance and human rights, and promote the values of peace and peaceful coexistence. The symposium included several topics, including building a culture of tolerance, contributing to building a society characterized by peace and justice, resisting extremism and violence, the importance of tolerance and mutual respect, defining tolerance as a human value, how to link human rights and tolerance, and what are the solutions. The symposium concluded by focusing on the role of education and media in spreading moderate thought and peace in society.
